On June 25, 2011, the museum took delivery of a small twin engine business jet, N400PR.

Our Hawker is a model DH.125-400A, and features Rolls-Royce Viper MK522 engines.

It has been put on permanent display as a gate guard on the former site of the international wing of the building.

This example of a first-generation business jet was donated by a private owner in 2011 and serves to welcome visitors to the museum. In summer 2019 the Hawker was painted in its current colorful scheme by the noted muralist GONZO247. It was turned into a public art project due to a grant through the City of Houston Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs and other individual donors.
