Open Ramp Day 1940 Air Terminal Museum at Hobby Airport

Get ready for an unforgettable experience at Open Ramp Day on February 18th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm., the ultimate planespotting event at Hobby Airport. Each month, we open up areas that are not normally accessible to the public, giving you an up-close look at the action of a real airport. Visitors can either fly-in or drive-in to join the fun. Fly-in visitors, car club drivers, and museum members receive free admission!

Unlimited Planespotting:

With unobstructed views of aircraft in motion and a static aircraft display, this is the best plane spotting location at Hobby Airport. Don't forget to bring a camera to capture the memories.

Fly-ins and Drive-ins:

Join us on the ramp for Tiger Flight’s live air show. Meet Pilot ‘Bloke’ and learn how the Thorp T-18 got its orange stripes. Additional fly-ins and drive-ins will be announced as the date nears.

VR Flight Simulator:

The VR flight simulator lets you get into a cockpit, take the controls and fly a simulation out of Hobby Airport and beyond. Suitable for all ages.
